Did you miss our Spring Confirmation 6 week preparation? 

We will be offering summer make up sessions for all those who were
unable to make the spring sessions.  They begin on
Wednesday, July 16^th @ 7:30pm
in the Whitehouse Conference Room
and they go for 6 consecutive weeks. 

Please register at the Family Faith Enrichment Office –
the deadline is Thursday, July 10^th.

Sister Karen Schneider is a Sister of Mercy and a medical missionary
specializing in pediatrics who spoke with our Confirmation candidates and
their families about her mission on May 6^th.   

The Mercy Medical Mission is a ministry of the Sisters of Mercy that
provides free medical care and surgeries for some of the poorest children in
Haiti, Guyana, and Peru; to just name a few countries. 

Sr. Karen travels to some of the poorest countries around the world
and offers her medical services to the children.  She performs surgeries
for free and she helps curb malnutrition by giving the children multivitamins,
she also helps cure scabies with the use of a cream that only cost’s $2.50 a tube. 
 With one tube of cream she can cure up to 6 children! 

If you would like to send a donation for her cause you can
send it to the following address:

or you can bring in donations of children's multivitamins and Tums to the
Family Faith Enrichment Office, and we will make sure the donations get to
her so she can bring them with her when she visits one of these countries.

Looking for a service project?

You could have a car wash to raise money or come up with your
own idea of how to raise money for her missions.
 

Food Pantry Donations

 We are always in need of food and non perishable items
for our food pantry here at St. Mary’s. 

Did you know that food stamps do not allow for the
purchase of toilet paper or paper towels? 
It may seem like a small donation but there are many people in
need of these items.  It seems that people give so generously
during the holidays but the poor are among us all year long! 

Why not hold a food drive at one of our local grocery stores
to help fill up the food pantry? 
You could also send a letter to all your neighbors asking for
donations to be placed by their mailboxes to be picked up
on Saturday morning. 

Please call the Family Faith Office for a sample letter on
St. Mary’s letterhead. 

Please bring any donations to either the
Parish Social Ministry Office or the Family Faith Office.
